CANBus Otto Joysticks

CANBus board for analogue/digital inputs.

DESCRIPTION

MDCi is an electronic circuit board with a CANBus interface

Simulate 2 JC joysticks using 2 Otto joysticks and a push-button dashboard.

Transmission takes place immediately upon switching on the

electronic board.

FEATURES

- Supply voltage from 10 to 30 Vdc

- CAN V2.0B communication bus

- 120-ohm internal terminating resistor not present in this version

- 2 diagnostic LEDs (red and green)

- Firmware can be updated via the integrated serial interface

SIGNALS

Red LED flashes once: Short-circuit fault on the stabilised +5V output

Red LED flashes twice: One of the analogue inputs was detected as not being in the rest position upon power-up

The input is disabled until a reset is performed.

Green LED is lit: The circuit board is functioning correctly.

The green LED flashes once each time the status of an input (analogue or on/off) changes.

To achieve a cable length of L = 1.5 m, you must
- Make the joystick/cable connections using 7x0.75 mm² wire by removing the
original connectors
- Insert the corrugated sheath and secure it to the underside of the joystick (see photo).
- Connect the 7x0.75 cable to the 6-pin Deutsch socket
(these are small contacts)
